There will be several in-class exercises as well as a few take-home items. Complete the take-home items, turn them into the TA and receive a grade.
Structures: Arches
After the lesson in class on arches, you will be given a homework problem on the Arch of Constantine and another arch of your choice.
Water: Aqueducts
After the lesson in class on aqueducts, you will be given some information (that we know from Roman records) and be asked to estimate some flow characteristics of the Aqua Claudia in the Romavecchia area, which we will visit.
